DOGS TRUST The United States of America

The United States of America is a nation known for animal welfare and in particular it's Love of Dogs for the lifelong Trust our dogs show in us.

We are dedicated to ensure that every dog is given a chance of a life where it will be treated with Kindness and Understanding of it's needs.

We will ensure the highest quality of dog care will be introduced to registered dog welfare facilities in return for the Unconditional Trust Dogs put in us.

We will in collaboration with participating rescue groups and local no-kill shelter groups work to ensure NO dog or cat of reasonable health and temperament is killed merely because he or she does not have a home.

Dogs Trust will work towards developing public-private partnerships to develop solutions to deal with issues of animal care through legislation.

(The Animal Welfare Act is the closest thing to a Federal cruelty law in the United States, but it does not make it illegal to perform individual acts of cruelty like torturing, beating or neglecting an animal. Those types of acts are regulated by the states, not the federal government.)

DOGS TRUST The United States of America will be run as a not for profit charitable foundation.

Dogs Trust will work to facilitate the collaboration of key groups the public, local government, commercial petcare corporations and local no-kill shelter rescue groups to solve the problem of animal homelessness in a civilised democratic North America.

Dogs Trust will be operational in the October 2009 with the new website and directory resources.
